So for this next sound edit, this doesn’t involve any whistles. However, this is about that odd sounding blaster-like sound that everyone might not be familiar with, and that’s the sound of the constant hissing of the pumps used on a steam locomotive. Particularly, from a cab forward. Since there are none of them running anymore and with the 4294 being the last one remaining, I have found another locomotive which has her own pumps sounding very similar to that of a cab forward.

This video may be old, but I never thought it would take me this long for me to make a video about the old no.10’s air pumps (steam pumps?) which sounded almost the same as those used on a cab forward locomotive. Even though all the other cab forwards may be gone, but to have the idea on what one would’ve sounded like if it was running today.

Two videos in one week? Man, I really gotta pick up the pace! Anyway, I haven’t made a Trainz railfanning video in a while, yet in some parts of the world I maybe a bit too late. Different time zones and all, but FEAR NOT, I am still alive and well! And yet I’m at my last week of school before summer vacation!
The first shots were at Altamont CA, and the last shot is at Donner Pass. Both locations are scratch built by me, which aren’t 100% accurate compared to how they look in real life.
Train 1:
Our first commuter train of the day, led by GS-6 #4460, making a late evening stop at Altamont.
Train 2:
One of many freight trains highballing past the old depot making up for lost time, while sounding its horn for a nearby crossing.
Train 3:
Yet another freight train passing by the same location, except it’s at the moment when the sun was just about to rise.
Train 4:
A railfan’s favorite, SP’s famous GS-4 #4449, pulling the Coast Daylight heading northbound, makes a regularly scheduled stop at Altamont before proceeding.
Train 5:
A UP military speeds past the old depot with a load of Sherman tanks ready to be sent to the front lines outside of the US.
Train 6:
SP AC-11 #4249 leads a manifest freight train as it speeds past the old depot, on-time as always.
*Note: The whistle I have here will be featured in Pack 15, which is still a work in progress. Might be able to get it done by the end of June.*
Bonus Shot:
Another railfan favorite, SP AC-12 #4294 thunders up the steep grades and winds up these sharp curves at Donner Pass.

At this point I realized I made a minor screw-up but this update is mainly focused on one of the whistles I made for Pack 7, which is labeled as UP Short Bell 5 Chime V3, and I included a different variant of the Star Brass 5 Chime but its V2.5 since this pack was made before I made Star Brass 5 chime V3 for a future whistle pack.

Okay, so I got some good news and I got some bad news. The bad news is that I am no longer able to log in back to Trainz 2019, because of the problem with my username, which Id rther not discuss it here. However, the good news is that I opened another Trainz account, which my new username is now called WesternSeaside572. I can assure you that I am still the same person, but with a different username.
While at it, I have also been able to buy Trainz 2022 for the first time! I didnt get the platinum version with the Surveyor 2.0 because my iMac might not do so well with the performance. But other than that, I am so proud that I am finally able to make new videos, even with a brand new simulator!
So yeah, goodbye TRS19, and hello TRS22!
BTW, the shot at 2:05 is supposed to be a reference to The Full Bucketniers episode 5 A Different Point Of View, where Connor was supposed to meet up with Larry (whose number was originally 4100) except it takes place elsewhere and the sun is still out. Oh, and Connor has a wrong bell in this scene.
Also, this video is basically a test/railfanning video, except I couldn’t come up with a proper title.
