Residential driveway temporary signals work in synchronization with portable traffic signals to regulate traffic entering from residential driveways when a lane is closed on a two-lane, two-way road.
The Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute evaluated various types of these devices. These researchers developed guidelines and a preferred design that can now be used across Texas and nationwide.
