Copying gym's TAS LJA.
Tippy toe to the very edge of the platform (don't stay here too long or the keese will bother you), can stop yourself dead with c-up.
Aim gale horizontally only, with the reticle somewhere between the metal front right edge of the chest, and the metal handle on the right of the chest.
Throw gale, draw sword and LJA ASAP.
Pretty hard, have to be quick, but saves 3s and can't get screwed over by gale deciding to not go OoB because it's a height LJA (with a tiny window but you get the point)

Using the double damage from Fairys tears or rare chu jelly, its possible to skip the third cycle of Argoroks second phase.

This is very slightly different on Wii since to drink the jelly or tears you need to have the bottle on B, and so then need to equip clawshot back to B either with the d-pad equips or pause menu, before clawshotting. Drinking the jelly/tears doesnt make link put away the clawshots however, so you dont have to go through the animation of pulling out clawshot, which would waste a handful of frames making the 2-cycle much harder.
In this clip I timed flipping clawshots back to B with the d-pad, and pressed B immediately after to clawshot. This can be very quick, so I want to say ideally Wii would only lose 1 frame to gamecube, but in reality itd be a few frames to timing the equip, then a couple more to clawshotting. This makes the 2-cycle marginally more difficult on Wii than gamecube (not that Ive ever done it on gamecube).
I had the most success pause buffering to when Argorok just begins to shoot the flame.

Using some precise clawshots its possible to make it across without the fan or the use of any LJAs
Discovered by Deanmachine/Pokemongenius
Clawshotting at the top of these fans from the same height or above will cause Link to grab the ledge rather than hang off the grill. Using this fact with clever positioning and aiming you can make it all the way across.
- First clawshot high up on the large fan grill and aim down to get on top of the first fan
- From there clawshot across to the second fan.
The third fan you need to grab onto very top corner, as you need to be at the very highest part of the grill to be able to clawshot to the final fan and grab the ledge rather than simply grabbing onto the grill (just getting to the grill isnt enough as the platform below it is broken as if to protect against this). However if you go to the very top corner from the top of the second fan youll just grab the ledge, so you need to
- clawshot to the top of the third fan (has to be the top
- then back to the bottom area of the second fan
- and from there you can then aim at the top far corner (height is more important than aiming to the very very edge) and if done correctly youll be able to reach the final fan.
You need to grab the ledge of the third fan before clawshotting back to the second fan as its only possible to reach the final fan when aiming with Links right hand (Wii orientation) and this lines up the grabs nicely for that purpose.
Timed as approximately the same speed as turning on the fan to get across, however theres much more variance due to precise aim, 1 hand vs. 2 hand grab rng, and the Kargaroks who love to come and bother Link. With very fast aim its theoretically possible to be a few seconds faster, though not something Id personally do in runs (maybe worth a shot for ILs eventually).

If you dont manage to grab the ledge of the final fan it doesnt matter too much, you can just clawshot back to the third fan and from the ledge of that its possible to make it to the final platform with a sidehop or a roll with a jumpslash.
Deanmachine brought this up a little while ago as in his childhood playthrough he could never find the fan switch, and yet managed to get past without any glitches and beat the game. He couldnt remember how, but was certain hed done it (https://clips.twitch.tv/DeliciousEnthusiasticTroutCoolStoryBob).
This led to Pokemongenius looking into it and finding how to get across :D

Using a bomb in the boomerang its possible to boost onto a broken part of the Snowpeak Ruins courtyard wall, skipping the long cannonball puzzle.

This saves about 1:55 for Glitchless (Bug-Limit), and Wii categories that complete the dungeon (less in 100% due to different routing).
Positioning and exact direction for the boomerang throw arent that precise, the important part is timing and aiming the jump and the jumpslash.
- Stand with Links right foot near a black line on the ground, and place a bomb
- Aim the boomerang up a bit, roughly around the snow on the opposite roof
- Turn, and wait a bit before jumping. The green leaves disappearing is a nice cue.
- Jump as parallel to the wall as possible, from the very far corner. A roll just before is either necessary, or much easier (Ive never gotten it without a roll to jump). Its quite hard to get a well angled jump, and I honestly dont have a lot of advice for it other than practice and turning at the last moment. Its very important to jump from the very corner with an angle almost perfectly parallel to the wall to get the maximum distance. Jumping in towards the wall doesnt quite go far enough, and jumping outward wont allow the bomb to boost you far enough back in.
- Jumpslash as you start to descend from your jump
If timed correctly you can barely make it up to the next ledge.
If the bomb boosts you out from the wall rather than in, you may have not been parallel with the wall, or jumped too late so the bomb hits you into the wall and back out.
The timing and angle of the jump are the most important elements to this trick.
Once up, hide in the corner and wait for the freezard to stop breathing ice, then kill it with the Ball & Chain. Its possible but difficult to kill it without being frozen: https://youtu.be/G201km_s7rA
Then aim and jump towards the ladder.
Its also possible to skip killing the freezard by bomb boosting onto the small ledge on the opposite wall (saving 11s) however this is more difficult and causes a glitched cutscene after the big key: https://youtu.be/NcFUmTo4LZk. Killing the freezard then bomb boosting is ~5s slower than just climbing the ladder.
Due to the difficulty of this trick, it is highly recommended to B&C the ice to expose the clawshot target so you can clawshot back up should you fail. Each retry loses ~20s if you fall and clawshot back up. ~8s if you simply bonk on the wall and stay up there.
