You have to walk forward for more than 3 frames between side roll and jump slash.
I TASed both strats and it's slightly slower but it's usually faster for human because optimizing sidehop strat is hard.
1. Sidehop left. (Don't have to do frame perfect)
2. Keep holding L and hold left for side roll.
3. Hold forward to walk for more than 3 frames then jump slash.
