Towards the “Perfect” Weather Warning - 23 August, 2023  @ametsoc

In our changing climate, extreme weather is occurring more frequently and records are being broken. Warnings are the most effective way to save lives and reduce disruption from severe weather. When your life is at risk, you need a weather warning to tell you what to do and why, you need to receive it in time to act, and you need to understand it, regardless of your culture and language. In this webinar, Brian Golding will describe what they have learned in HIWeather about how the diverse parts of the weather enterprise can work together to deliver more effective warnings.
