We went inside the Andersen Windows factory in Oceanside, California to see how their massive lift slide doors are built.

From raw aluminum extrusions and wood cladding to precision machining, glazing, and final testing, this tour shows the entire process behind some of the largest glass doors used in modern homes.

You’ll see how Andersen manufactures custom lift slide systems, pivot doors, and even curved serpentine glass assemblies. Every unit is assembled by hand, tested to the exact rough opening dimensions, and inspected before shipping to projects across the country.

If you’ve ever wondered how these massive glass openings are made, this is a behind the scenes look at the process.
