This suite feels calm. Private. Restorative.
Tucked into the second floor at 45 White Oak, it was designed to feel removed from the rest of the home, more like a retreat than a bedroom. White oak, plaster, and fabric paneling keep the palette restrained, while the long approach, full height doors, and tree framed windows create an immediate sense of separation and quiet.
Behind that simplicity is a huge amount of coordination and detail. Built in millwork, hidden cabinetry, bifold doors, a wet bar, and pass through closet access all had to be carefully planned to make the space feel effortless instead of overdesigned. Lighting was treated the same way, from custom aligned recessed fixtures to illuminated window sills that create a softer mood at night. Even the comfort of the room goes beyond what you see, with integrated HVAC detailing, filtered fresh air, triple pane glass, mineral wool insulation, and precise sound control all working together to make the suite feel as good as it looks.
