Unravel is the opening theme of Tokyo Ghoul (and ending for episode 1). Its written and produced by Tohru Kitajima (TK).
It is the first solo single by TK, from the band Ling Tosite Sigure. The song was released on July 23, 2014.
About the cover:
This video was shot at Siam Music Yamaha in Bangkok, Thailand, with Yamahas flagship full concert grand, the CFX.
I think its only appropriate to use this type of piano for this song. The wide dynamic range can only be fully expressed with a full concert grand. There are some parts in which the strings resonate really well with each other, to the point where its as if theres a faint choir in the background, which is surreal to hear.

About the video:
This is my 2nd longest cover to date, right behind Angel Beats Ichiban no Takaramono. The editing itself however, is the most intensive Ive done by far. This broke my record for having 5 different angles in a single video, my previous record was my Angel Beats My Soul, Your Beats! video at 4 angles in July 2014. This almost 6 minute video was rendered in about 40 minutes, twice longer than my previous full version covers. The recording session took 160 minutes ( 2 hours and 40 minutes) after repeating several times with different angles for the overdub, and the editing process is about 270 minutes (4 and a half hours). I tried to make the video looks as good as it can get, I hope it translates through to you guys as the audience ^^
About the cover:
This is my 3rd cover of the song thus far, following the upgright TV Size arrangement and the revised TV Size arrangement. I had been waiting for the full version of the song to surface on the internet. I finally found one last week and immediately decided to cover it.
This is my own arrangement, developed from the revised TV Size arrangement, learned entirely through hearing.

About the video:
This is basically a re-upload of the original video which was taken down due to copyright strike from Tokyo Broadcasting System earlier today, May 21st 2016. Rather than sobbing at the corner of my room, I decided to make this an opportunity to further polish the visual and sound elements through editing, and add the things I wasnt able to do back in 2013. I had less than 1000 subscribers at the time, so most of you probably havent seen this yet, so here you go, this is how I played in 2013 when I was 17. No multiple angles, no fancy visual effects, no fancy editing, just listen to that classic Yamaha M1 upright!
I also removed the elements which might caused the strike, so this video should be fine. Two more strikes in less than 6 months and this channel will be terminated. Id be damned if this gets taken down again. This my 4th video of the song. The 1st one is still up and running, the 2nd one was taken down a few years ago, and the 3rd one was taken down earlier today.
About the song and cover:
This is one my all time favorites. I initially wasnt interested in the second opening until I stumbled across Marasys cover and was charmed. It marked the very first time that I was inspired by one of his videos back in 2011, so there are some valuable memories. I cant just sit and watch the video get buried by a copyright strike.
Utauyo!! MIRACLE is ecstatic, its way above normal cheerful level, and it can seriously elevate your mood. It meets my criteria for having multiple transpose elements, both embodied into the song structure itself, and by the last chorus and outro which really suits the climax.
This is one of my hardest covers, ranking in at expert in my scale of difficulty, and learned through hearing as always using Marasys cover as the main foundation.

This is the fifth and finale of the Grand Piano Edition Covers, but my upload spree isnt over yet, so stay tuned! The audio was recorded at ArtSound Studio Jakarta, mixed and edited by myself.
Koe no Katachi, arguably one of the best anime film of 2016, if not the best ever made. This soundtrack in particular is the one which stood out the most to many people, including myself, and it went to the very top of my favorite OSTs of all time with its really powerful and contextually aware musical elements. There has never been any anime film soundtracks that fit so well into the film that replacing them with anything else is just unimaginable. With all that said, I have deep respect for Kensuke Ushio for composing such brilliant soundtracks. My previous extended cover of this soundtrack is the most popular video Ive ever uploaded to the point where that single video has more views in 24 hours than the rest of my videos combined, its just insane. Now having a proper baby grand and a recording studio for 6 hours, how could I not make an improved arrangement of it? So here it is for you to enjoy.
This is my own arrangement, much improved from the last one and added a bit of complexity to it while keeping it mostly very simple. You probably already know from my previous descriptions or the huge Dango plush on my Roland RP301 that CLANNAD is (in my opinion) still the best anime Ive ever watched, and some of you actually said that this soundtrack lacks a CLANNAD feel to it. Surprise surprise, you can actually fit Dango Daikazoku melody into the same chords played on lit, and it fits in surprisingly really well, so there ya go, incoming potential feels alert~
This OST, simply titled lit, is listed at track #10 on Kensuke Ushios A Shape of Light album disk 1. Its original duration is only 51 seconds, and this is an extended cover based on the longer version titled lit(var) which Ive also done the cover and you can see it right here:
