My situation as I was filming this:
It's been a while since I last posted a video to YouTube, and I'm sorry. College started again last month and I haven't had the energy nor the time to film anything since then. Managing time for both engineering and YouTube is really hard. I'm in the middle of that hectic time of the year. I assure you that I have been working on a huge video project ever since. It needs just a little bit more polish, so I'm going to take the time to do so. It'll be my next upload and I can't wait to film it and share it with you. Think of this video as a Connect-ing bridge from my last project to the upcoming big one. [see what I did there? ;)]
About the video:
I experimented with the lighting a bit. I usually turn all the lights on when I'm filming, but this time I tried using the two main LED lights that illuminates only the area near the keys. I haven't done this before because my camera tends to limit its frame rates to about 10-15 fps in low light, but it turned out quite decent. I decided to go back to the normal lighting after this because I have many things on the piano to highlight. Let me know if you have any suggestion.
About the play along:
I play along people's videos once in a while when practicing. Although I've known rurouni1928's guitar rendition of Connect for a fairly long time, I had the idea to make a play along video just a few days before shooting this. I had an argument with myself whether I should make the video or not, but it turned out to be quite good and I eventually thought that it would be a waste not showing this to you guys. Although my piano arrangement is a modified version of Marasy's version, I had to modify it a little bit further to fit perfectly with the guitar, making this my fourth Connect video I've done so far.

This is the fifth and finale of the Grand Piano Edition Covers, but my upload spree isnt over yet, so stay tuned! The audio was recorded at ArtSound Studio Jakarta, mixed and edited by myself.
Koe no Katachi, arguably one of the best anime film of 2016, if not the best ever made. This soundtrack in particular is the one which stood out the most to many people, including myself, and it went to the very top of my favorite OSTs of all time with its really powerful and contextually aware musical elements. There has never been any anime film soundtracks that fit so well into the film that replacing them with anything else is just unimaginable. With all that said, I have deep respect for Kensuke Ushio for composing such brilliant soundtracks. My previous extended cover of this soundtrack is the most popular video Ive ever uploaded to the point where that single video has more views in 24 hours than the rest of my videos combined, its just insane. Now having a proper baby grand and a recording studio for 6 hours, how could I not make an improved arrangement of it? So here it is for you to enjoy.
This is my own arrangement, much improved from the last one and added a bit of complexity to it while keeping it mostly very simple. You probably already know from my previous descriptions or the huge Dango plush on my Roland RP301 that CLANNAD is (in my opinion) still the best anime Ive ever watched, and some of you actually said that this soundtrack lacks a CLANNAD feel to it. Surprise surprise, you can actually fit Dango Daikazoku melody into the same chords played on lit, and it fits in surprisingly really well, so there ya go, incoming potential feels alert~
This OST, simply titled lit, is listed at track #10 on Kensuke Ushios A Shape of Light album disk 1. Its original duration is only 51 seconds, and this is an extended cover based on the longer version titled lit(var) which Ive also done the cover and you can see it right here:

Welcome to the first video of the 2018 Grand Piano Edition Cover! More are coming, and will be uploaded at least 16 hours apart from each other.
Ive been holding back on this one. I didnt post the progress on Instagram, I told almost no one that Im making this arrangement, and that was my first time filming the arrangement on piano.
About the song:
Hitori (ひとり, literally meaning Alone) is the fourth ending theme of DARLING in the FRANXX. Its performed by XX:me, consisting of Haruka Tomatsu (the voice of Zero Two).
About the project:
This project consists of 20 audio & video tracks. All the angles were rendered in 1080p @ 60 fps.
The Grand Piano Edition Cover is a series of special videos filmed and recorded at ArtSound Studio Jakarta. Theyre in charge of recording the raw audio, while I take part in video editing / cinematography and mixing. This is my original piano arrangement.
As much as I enjoy making contents like this, it requires time, energy, and effort. About the song & cover:
Clear Card Arc is almost here! Im GLaD Maaya Sakamoto returned to sing the opening. She also wrote the lyrics, and the song is composed by Yoshiki Mizuno from Ikimono-gakari. The 3rd opening Platinum is still the best composition of any anime opening in my opinion, but this 4th opening has a character of its own, and if you pay enough attention, it takes many cues and homage from the previous seasons orchestral soundtracks by Yoko Kanno.
As of making this, the song can only be listened from the PV 2, which this cover is based on, and is most likely a shorter version of the real opening since the industry standard length for anime opening is 90 seconds. My guess is 0:13 - 0:23 will be repeated once in the actual opening, and Ill most likely cover the TV Size version or even the full version in the future. The song was unveiled just a week before this video, and I prioritized this cover over my other projects which are coming shortly after this, and after my university finals are over.
This is my original arrangement, learned from the PV 2 with the power of hearing.
Life update:
Im in the middle of university final exams for this semester, and will be fully active again after 14th December.

The first cover in which I have to seemingly clone myself, lol. This is my first time doing that, execution is more difficult than I expected. There are three angles, all were shot in 1080p at 30 fps.
About the cover:
This cover was inspired from hironou2525s guitar cover. Check his channel out, hes one of the most underrated YouTube guitarist. I think this song has the power to heal wounded souls. The combination of the vocals and instruments just blend in, with melody that feels really heartwarming. I just had to try replicating the stereo guitar intro on piano, its part of what makes the song unique, and the fact that I needed to come up with ideas on how I should do the video only motivates me further.

This is my 2nd medley video. Connect arrangement is a fusion between Marasys arrangement and my style. Philosophyz, White Album, and Bravely You is my own arrangement, all learned through hearing.
Im really looking forward to Rewrites anime adaptation next year, seriously cant wait to see another Key VN adaptation and keep the feels going. White Album is one of the most laid back song Ive known, it immediately caught my attention the first time I listened to it while watching White Album 2. If you havent seen the show, its definitely a recommendation. While Charlotte isnt as good as I hoped it to be, the opening deserves full attention. Bravely You has similar DNA to Angel Beats My Soul, Your Beats!, and the lyrics perspective is similar to Clannad After Storys Toki wo Kizamu Uta, as theyre both sung from the protagonists perspective when theyre facing their hardship.
Im planning for a change once again. It might be close, and it might still be a bit far, because there are lots of decisive factors to this change. Im keen to tell you guys about it, but Ill just keep it to myself for now. Surprise is always good right?

A short teaser for my next video, Aria The Animations ending theme, Rainbow. The acoustic guitar intro is one of the main charm points of the song, its just so beautiful, so Id want to replicate it on piano, including the individual left and right audio track.
Ive never done this before, so it thought it might need a bit of an experiment to anticipate audio and video errors during making the real cover. I wasnt even planning to share this, but it turns out quite well done that I eventually wanted to make this a short teaser video.
This features the Yamaha M1 I have in Jakarta, audio is recorded with TASCAM DR-07 Mark II. The real cover will be filmed in Bandung with Roland RP301.
