G37 has several functions. Mostly it's used to move the tool to the tool setter, touch it off, then store the value into the offset table. But if you add P and E into the G37 code, you can check for pullout and tool breakage. This helps prevent your tool from damaging the part as it will pause the program once it detects a change from the initial touch off.
