WE LIVE AND WE LEARN! After that first miserable experience, I was still thinking about this damn encounter non-stop trying to make sure that the next attempt wouldnt be so bad. Thank you to the people who left useful/helpful comments. There was much I didnt know because I honestly dont tend to immerse myself in any online communities and only go searching when Im trying to learn. I didnt know that 1 to Ubers speedrun was a thing, but those videos were extremely helpful and taught me that Impale is a thing! Primary differences this run vs the last was making the Duress runeword for my chest piece and skilling into Impale and dumping the rest of my points into the defensive passives. I also forgot that the mini bosses you still want some Open Wounds/CB so Izual was much more messy than anticipated.
Second attempt torch for my Amazon! My mind can finally be at rest about this damn encounter. Next... Uber Ancients.

I am excited to finally be playing Halo 2 again! So happy to be using the battle rifle and the difficulty step up from Halo 1 is palpable. The moment in the mission where waves of elite come off their ship took me probably an hour 15 to complete to the next checkpoint. It was so goddamn stressful. I tried to force the sword too much which sucked, its a really cool weapon and I liked the introduction of it into Halo 2, but for these missions it doesnt feel viable. The elites have heavy shields and often take 2 hits to kill with the sword. The white elites require 3-4 hits which is just not possible with how squishy I am. The plasma pistol battle rifle combo is the only way to take care of the elites. There was even a shotgun in the next checkpoint and I tried it for one attempt before ditching it for the plasma pistol. Sad, because I really loved using the shotgun in the first game. Also dual wield is neat, totally forgot they added recoil control to the SMG.")

I dont believe I cut out any deaths in this VOD, but as usual the full highlight/attempt is also available on Twitch. Cortana acts as a guide a lot in this game and thats really annoying, I didnt notice it much at first because I dont tend to pay attention but she voices a lot of shit for you to help you understand what you SHOULD do rather than letting you figure out the strategy.
