I am excited to finally be playing Halo 2 again! So happy to be using the battle rifle and the difficulty step up from Halo 1 is palpable. The moment in the mission where waves of elite come off their ship took me probably an hour 15 to complete to the next checkpoint. It was so goddamn stressful. I tried to force the sword too much which sucked, it's a really cool weapon and I liked the introduction of it into Halo 2, but for these missions it doesn't feel viable. The elites have heavy shields and often take 2 hits to kill with the sword. The white elites require 3-4 hits which is just not possible with how squishy I am. The plasma pistol battle rifle combo is the only way to take care of the elites. There was even a shotgun in the next checkpoint and I tried it for one attempt before ditching it for the plasma pistol. Sad, because I really loved using the shotgun in the first game. Also dual wield is neat, totally forgot they added recoil control to the SMG.

I dont believe I cut out any deaths in this VOD, but as usual the full highlight/attempt is also available on Twitch. Cortana acts as a guide a lot in this game and thats really annoying, I didnt notice it much at first because I dont tend to pay attention but she voices a lot of shit for you to help you understand what you SHOULD do rather than letting you figure out the strategy.

I actually think I prefer missions where there are less vehicle sections mainly because I just enjoy the normal combat and always find the aerial or vehicle combat tedious. I do enjoy driving the warthog, but its just the AI gunners that drive me nuts.")

Okay starting to get the hang of these missions. The part in Cairo Station was the only one that REALLY took a long time, the rest so far has been manageable. I liked this mission it was fun.")

Worst fucking mission Ive played in Halo so far. The space battle was really designed poorly, having it be difficult is fine but when your main strategy is to play like a pussy and hide behind things then it becomes incredibly unenjoyable. The moment you go out to attempt anything offensive you get blown up and its very difficult to evade. Terrible gameplay. It took me 3 days because every checkpoint for that part of the mission Id only have tolerance for maybe 20 minutes then Id close the damn game because I didnt enjoy it whatsoever. Hopefully there isnt another mission with that garbage.")
