The Sega Dreamcast was an awesome console for Shoot Em Ups and it's time it had it's due! It's the Top 5 HARDEST Shoot Em Ups on the Sega Dreamcast featuring Ikaruga by Treasure, Gunbird 2 by Psikyo, Border Down by former Taito employees that worked on classics like G Darius, Mars Matrix and more. Sega was a powerhouse in shmups dating back to the Mega Drive (Genesis) and killed it with the Saturn. Though the Dreamcast was short lived, it was following in their footsteps with some of the best, and hardest shooters of the generation. Even popular games like Capcom's Giga Wing series, beloved as it is, wasn't hard enough to make this list! The Sega Dreamcast more than held it's own against the mighty Playstation 2 and this video celebrates some of it's best.
