The PC Engine was the mecca of shooters during the early 90s with over 100 shmups released for the system. It was a gaming console for shoot em up enthusiasts so Hudson Soft, NEC Avenue, Konami, and other developers pulled no punches in releasing some of the hardest shooters of the time.
