In Model-Driven Power Apps and Dynamics 365, you often need to guide users and give them hints about data to enter on a form. The humble tooltip can work sometimes, but occasionally you need something more informational or obvious.

In this hands-on tutorial, I show you how to create a tooltip, a recommendation (using business rules) and an error message (also using business rules). I’m using the built-in Contacts table in Dataverse, with the Dynamics 365 Sales UI, but this also applies to Model-Driven Power Apps and custom tables.

If you’re interested in learning more, I’ve partnered with Pluralsight to build out a full 2-hour course about how to get started with model-driven apps in Power Apps: pluralsight.pxf.io/7mVor5
