I made this tool board shortly after I moved to this shop around 7 years ago. I have LOVED it over that time and still do, but decided it would be more efficient to store the tools in shallow drawers in my big tool box. That tool box will be directly below my new workbench, so much more convenient to reach.
I think that a tool board like this works best mounted on the wall directly behind the workbench you use the most, and then you don't have to walk anywhere. Since I do video, having the workbench in the middle of the room makes more sense and that puts the tool board a distance away.
