There were two 12" mixes for "Too Shy" and both were labeled "Midnight Mix" when released. The U.K. remix runs 5:25 and does not credit who mixed it. Most of the track is instrumental, making it more akin to a dub version than anything else. The U.S. remix heard here runs 5:45 and was mixed by the late Mark Kamins. Some U.S. labels, including my copy, do not credit Kamins and show the U.K. runtime, but this was partially corrected on other copies crediting Kamins but listing the runtime as 5:54. The U.S. mix was also released in Europe at some point. Finally, the U.K. mix seems to have been renamed "Extended Version" on streaming.

The New Music Seminar was held in New York in June 1983. This promotional 12 single featuring artists from the Warner Bros., Sire and Geffen Records labels uses excerpts of the songs listed and plays in a continuous mix. Side 1 was the Rhythm Side and side 2 the Rock Side.
