Killer Film Reviews - Tony Bush | Too Late The Hero @tonybush555 | Uploaded September 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Director Robert Aldrich never made a bad war movie, and Too Late the Hero is one of his, so it follows logically that it's good. In fact, it's downright excellent. On first release in 1970, the public and the critics didn't like it much. Now, though, with the benefit of hindsight and a critical reappraisal...they still don't like it much. Don't let that put you off, though, because they're wrong. Trust me. Just don't strain your eyes looking for a Blu-Ray version. There isn't one. Damn shame.
