DOUGLAS HADDEN | Tony Cuffe and Dave Stuart : "Up In The Morning's Nae For Me" @douglashadden2172 | Uploaded December 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 minute ago.
I recently re-discovered a tape from Aberdeen University Folk Club from 1977. Tony Cuffe at that time was playing in a duo with multi-instrumentalist Dave Stuart. Not great recording quality, but I think worth preserving.
Tony sings a version of the Robert Burns song "Up In The Morning's Nae For Me", followed by the air "Gloomy Winter's Noo Awa'", played on whistle.
The photo is from Durham Folk Festival 1975, Tony on whistle, Sean O'Rourke on piccollo.
