The Angel of Darkness is the sixth game in the Tomb Raider series and the last one done by Core Design. It has been published by Eidos Interactive in 2003. Core Design intended to create a different game from the previous ones in order to compete with newer action games. However, several difficulties made it suffer numerous delays and it was criticised for its poor controls and multiple bugs after release. As a result, Eidos Interactive scrapped a potential trilogy and transferred the Tomb Raider francise to Crystal Dynamics for the next game, Tomb Raider: Legend.
