Tom Bindoff has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the New Year Honours List 2025 for his volunteering services to nature and the public at Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve, Oxfordshire.
His commitment to the site is unparalleled, having devoted thousands of volunteering hours to practical habitat management, and public engagement events, reaching hundreds of people, charities and public bodies. Tom’s vision and determination were also pivotal in the establishment of the Centre for Outdoor Accessibility Training (COAT) at Aston Rowant, the Centre promotes the use of accessible outdoor infrastructure to make nature accessible to all.
