Tokyo Game Market Spring 2026 was the biggest convention yet! We tried to restrict our purchases this convention but as always we ended up with more than we expected. We hope you had a great time if you went, and you found some of these titles!

This game is a tale of two adventures - the sharks and molluscs battling over territory in the area control game, and the smugglers trying to race through a pick-up and deliver game changing the game state as they move through and trying to accurately predict who will likely control each region. Its also a game of two emotional states, the glee and devastation of the tight area control, or the more passive breezy smugglers journey. In this video we talk through all of the tidal highs and lows.

Thanks for stopping by for our mechanics & theme board game review of Ahoy. Were Amy & Maggie aka ThinkerThemer. Were an Australian couple with two very different perspectives of what makes a great board game - Amy (Thinker) is all about the mechanics and enjoys tight, competitive games, and Maggie (Themer) is all about the storytelling and the theme of the game, and the world that the designer is trying to create. Subscribe to our channel to hear us talk about these two elements of a game, and how well integrated we feel these are in delivering a cohesive and wonderful game experience. #boardgames #thinkerthemer Ahoy ~ youll either love it or you really, really wont 😬 | Board Game Review](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/yW8-TcsXLJo/mqdefault.jpg)
