20-year-old Amélie (Pauline Etienne, break-out star of "Eden") is obsessed with all things Japanese. She was born in Japan, but her family returned to their homeland of Belgium when she was a small child, and she has dreamt of going back ever since.
Her head filled with dreams, Amélie finally decides to move to Tokyo. She finds herself a tiny suburban apartment to live in and immerses herself in Japanese cuisine and culture. To earn a living, Amélie decides to give private French classes and soon meets a young Japanese man, Rinri (Taichi Inoue), who becomes her first and only student.
