Lily Liu on why tokenizing real-world assets is just the starting point:
"RWAs is an enormous category, depending on how you count and who you ask, it represents $100 trillion, $500 trillion, maybe even more in terms of kind of value of the asset class today...once you take an existing asset, put it on chain, what's next?
I think what's next is around what new financial markets can you actually create.
So those could be around compute markets, energy markets, those two are obviously very top of mind, given everything that's happening macroeconomically and in relation to the AI boom.
And I think another one that we're really passionate about...is the ability to bring capital markets access to the 180 countries in the world that don't have capital markets at any real scale today."
–Lily Liu, President of the Solana Foundation on Binance Online 2026 alongside Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Binance Co-CEO Richard Teng

![Senator Bernie Moreno: How I Got Into Crypto and Blockchain
Senator Bernie Moreno on how he first got into crypto and blockchain:
“I came to my first Consensus conference 14 years ago. So a long time ago.
It was, I joke, 150 misfits. Now there’s a lot more of us...
And in 2016, with a partner, I started a company that uses
blockchain as the underlying technology to make card titles digital. We launched that company. It’s been doing very, very well. I sold my shares in that company. Again, not to have conflicts of interest in the Senate, but the company is absolutely [going bananas].”
– Senator Bernie Moreno at @CoinDesk Consensus 2026 with Kristin Smith, President of Solana Policy Institute
