Welcome! In this video, we play through the cult Genesis/Mega Drive classic: ToeJam & Earl! This game is a roguelike where you play as one of two aliens (either solo or in co-op) and explore 25 different maps for pieces of your ship to return home. This game has many cool features as well as a lot of revolutionary ones such as randomizing presents that will help you on the way, randomizing the map (or playing on a fixed map), allowing both co-op players to explore the map on their own without having to be near each other and mixing in a hip hop vibe to the overall game. This is one game you'll want to play through with a buddy!
This walkthrough takes you through all 25 stages of the game's fixed map mode. Keep in mind that the presents are randomized and many will offer negative statuses, even killing you if you're not careful. Keep an eye out for a carrot man to identify your presents (after which they'll remain identified in the future unless you use a randomizer). Also remember that if you fall down a level, don't fret you can return back by finding the elevator once more and keep in mind not every level has a ship piece, but if you don't collect it on the levels that do, you'll have to fall back down and return eventually to collect it.
Also, keep in mind if you're playing random map mode, the map and presents will be entirely random so this walkthrough will not be useful. However, you can use the skills you get from this run to conquer random map mode!
