Welcome! In this video series, we cover how to get 100% in Kirby's Dream Land 2 for the original Game Boy! While technically the third game in the Kirby series, this is a direct sequel to the original title while incorporating the copy technique of the NES game. It also introduces animal helpers Coo, Rick and Kine, who can help Kirby in unique ways and alter his copy technique to create a new one! This game also introduces Rainbow Drops, which are collectible and required to fight the true final boss. Remember as well that not only do you need all Rainbow Drops for 100% but you also have to reface each boss and complete the minigame as well as find Blob, the female variant of Gooey that randomly appears when you attempt to rescue the same animal buddy you currently have.
In part 6, we tackle Cloudy Park, which contains the last boss mini game for 100%. The rainbow drop in this stage is especially tricky as you essentially have to shuffle animal helpers and powers. Not only that but the level requires you to abandon your powers to continue. When you start the second level, make sure you have Kine when you start and progress with the Ice ability. Once you get to the second screen, use the air flows to reach the highest platform (with the one up) and fall directly beneath it to a door. Swim against the current to the left and defeat the mini boss for the Spark ability. From there, head back to the same platform and fall down and swim right. Defeat this miniboss and keep your Spark ability but switch helpers to Rick. Back in the first area, head right and through the door and use the beam to drop the cannons and free Coo, which you should swap Rick for. Continue right and through the door and fly against the current to the right and enter that door. Fight this miniboss and get the Cutter ability from him. From there, fly to the left and enter the first door to FINALLY get the Rainbow Drop. Whew!
