Today in Aviation History, we give love to the Air Tractor.

Specifically, the AT-602 crop duster. They’re an essential part of modern farming and a really cool example of how every aircraft is built for a specific mission. That mission is what drives the engineering choices from the manufacturer - and what's really cool is what happens when that aircraft is released to the market: you start to see all kinds of secondary and unintended uses. For example while crop dusters are built to apply treatment to large fields with precision, they are also now used for firefighting, towing and banner flying, towing gliders.
