In this video I share my tip for having your flat gauge better match your in the round gauge when knitting garments that require both in the round and flat knitting. This issue can come up if your purl stitches are looser than your knit stitches. So when you switch from working in the round to working flat, your fabric can look looser.
To help my flat fabric look more similar to my in the round fabric, I like to work my flat purl rows with 1 needle size smaller. Working with 2 needle sizes at the same time isn't as tricky as you might think - in this video I show you exactly how you do it!
