Noise masking is the concept of presenting a sound that can distract the listener from the sounds around them or in their mind in a situation such as tinnitus. This new sound, played at a relatively low volume if it is similar in frequency, can help the mid-range tones forget the tinnitus sound. Noise masking works in some cases (not always), and only to the extent that it reduces the "T" sound by up to 30%. Try it and see.
