In this video we take a look at a ‘New In Box’ Timex Sinclair 1000 and a 16K RAM expansion module. This was the first type of computer I owned. I spent the princely sum of $30 in 1983 to by a second hand until from someone who was upgrading to a C64.

I spent countless hours poking programs into that sad keyboard, waiting while programs loaded and saved to cassette tape while staring into a small B/W TV screen. But what a blast it was, my very own computer for $30!

We test out the little ‘door stop’ computer and load and save programs from the same tape recorder I used back then. Then we’ll take a look at how to load programs onto the TS-1000 directly from the PC. Finally, we’ll do some minor repairs to the cardboard boxes to keep them from deteriorating any further.
