Aussie Garage caught up with Australian Street Machine Federation about a petition that not only affects Street Machines and Modified Cars, but it affects 4WD, Custom Bikes and more that Engineers require approval for through the Department of Transport.
Stan is the Director of the ASMF, with Eddy, Claude, James and loads of more helpers that are part of the ASMF. Rita is in charge of all the Admin duties and his son also plays a major part with in the organisation.
This petition is to give the public power to the engineers for all modification that may be required for Street Machines and Modified Vehicles, where are at the moment, you can get the engineers approval that vehicle is deemed safe, but he CEO of the Department of Transport can still reject the vehicle application. In some case, car builders are paying up to $5k - $10K for the Engineer that are recommended by the Department of Transport.
