bottom 15 experiences with GD levels despite this level actually being really good i'd bet this level is easily among the best levels on the list right now (it'll only be on it for like one more month) everything is super consistent and really fun to learn and master. the predrop is MEGA consistent (after a while) all of the gameplay is built nicely there's no stupid bullshit and even the insane clicks like 50% dont feel unfair because everything else is so hard too. i got ridiculously unlucky with this level which unfortunately soured my enjoyment so much but since this level is so consistent from start to finish i was able to keep having some kind of fun even though i felt like i was getting tortured by every click. i wont let my awful experience taint how i feel about the level as a whole though, it's very well made and honestly i think its a straight 10/10 gameplay wise, really awesome stuff. the balancing is nothing to complain about either, the predrop gameplay while still having some very tough clicks is noticeably easier than the drop which is absolutely a good thing i fucking hate levels that are carried by their predrops and thankfully this is not one of them. the drop gameplay starts with a bang, i think that 39-49 section is definitely the hardest, but the next section is really close they're not that far off. the second half of the drop is the dual chamber with some waves mixed in, this section is definitely easier but it's very particular in how you have to do it, specifically the click pattern from 60-64. there's a lot of learning that goes into that and i could easily see why someone would hate this part and think its poorly made but its not its just hard and in my experience if you know exactly how to do it it gets just as consistent as literally everything else in this level. the ending is quite chokeable but its also flukeable.i think 85 was an extremely valid death because thats definitely the hardest click in the ending but i dont think should have died at 98 that was probably a nerve and panicking death and 97 was probably the same thing
i would definitely recommend this level and hopefully everyone else gets to have a better experience than i did

End of Build Details
Yeah so after the endless struggle that was my first time beating Radahn, I somehow managed to replay the entire DLC in NG+, die to every boss, and then proceed to beat Radahn on my very first try. Ironic that the only boss I didnt die to in the DLC was the hardest one. Ive definitely changed my opinion on this boss, and thankfully its for the better. I previously said I loved his first phase but hated his second one as it was too demanding. What I should have said is that the learning curve is extremely demanding and feels impossible for a pretty long stretch of time, but once you know what youre doing, the entire fight is genuinely very fun. Massive difficulty spike between the two phases, but still incredible. I didnt think I would say this, but he might be in the Top 5 most fun fights in the entire game up there with Godfrey and Mohg. Still, its not perfect. The blinding visuals can genuinely be a problem for a lot of people. Sometimes he springs into another attack right after his Bloodflame explosion and if hes right behind it then you have very little time to even see what hes doing, let alone react to it. The second phase is where the visuals shine in a good way from a spectacle standpoint, but in a bad way from a gameplay standpoint. A large majority of his attacks have the AOE after-effects that can also be extremely bright and cover most of his attacks. In addition to being covered by lights, sometimes he can start attacks facing away from you, obstructing the telegraph even more, which can lead to getting bodied by attack you couldnt see even if you tried. And in my opinion, the quick triple slash is still the worst thing about him. It wasnt a huge problem here since I can guard with my left hand and take a lot less damage, but its still damage. It would be nice if there was a dodge method I could count on every time, rather than expecting to take massive damage every time he uses that attack. As it stands now, its a near frame perfect timing that requires the right positioning before he even begins the attack, so sometimes theres quite literally nothing I can do. Anyway, still love the music, and Im glad I got to replay this fight and enjoy it this time, even if it lasted a hell of a lot shorter than I expected.
