New second hardest! This was an absolute blast to play and learn. It didn't feel nearly as hard as the golden, so it's probably decently well placed on the list. Unfortunately, speaking of the list, i will not be getting any list points for this completion. I always play with No Particles and I forgot that this, being a 2.2 level with particle objects, is technically not considered a legitimate completion if done without particles. I honestly could not care less anymore. I tried to rebeat this and I actually got 23 more deaths at the ending so fuck it im not gonna tarnish my whole view and experience of this level just because the website wants me to disable the micro LDM in order to count is as legit lol
Onto the actual level, it's fantastic. It's easily my favorite level in my Top 5 (because it just pushed Cog out of my top 5) and that's because the gameplay feels impossible at first, but once it clicks, it makes you feel like a god for doing it consistently. I LOVE that the predrop gets extremely consistent and is really short, thats one of my favorite things about a level. I don't have a single complaint about the level until we get to the ending. Not really a fan of the wave at 72% and that's my only complaint about the level. It's a pretty awkward click pattern that killed me a few times. I died everywhere else in the ending but that ranges from skill issue to just not paying attention, but nothing I'd consider bad gameplay. The whole level is really unique. I'd give the gameplay a 9.9/10 (gotta take a little bit off for that wave LOL), I also really love the deco and the song is pretty cool too. My enjoyment is gonna seem a little low compared to how much I was glazing it just now, but thats because of this message I'm about to copy paste from Skyler's DMs:
"in the raw footage i said '50-70 is insane, wouldnt be surprised if i had 50 deaths there' well lets take a look buddy
98 deaths between 52-100
12 of those are after 70 which brings the 52-70 death count to 86
but i also died at 50 and 51 7 times each which brings the total amount of deaths from 50-70 to fucking 100 ðŸ˜
top 10 luck"
Super recommend, but make sure you have particles on

Enjoyment: 7.5/10

End of Build Details
Yeah so after the endless struggle that was my first time beating Radahn, I somehow managed to replay the entire DLC in NG+, die to every boss, and then proceed to beat Radahn on my very first try. Ironic that the only boss I didnt die to in the DLC was the hardest one. Ive definitely changed my opinion on this boss, and thankfully its for the better. I previously said I loved his first phase but hated his second one as it was too demanding. What I should have said is that the learning curve is extremely demanding and feels impossible for a pretty long stretch of time, but once you know what youre doing, the entire fight is genuinely very fun. Massive difficulty spike between the two phases, but still incredible. I didnt think I would say this, but he might be in the Top 5 most fun fights in the entire game up there with Godfrey and Mohg. Still, its not perfect. The blinding visuals can genuinely be a problem for a lot of people. Sometimes he springs into another attack right after his Bloodflame explosion and if hes right behind it then you have very little time to even see what hes doing, let alone react to it. The second phase is where the visuals shine in a good way from a spectacle standpoint, but in a bad way from a gameplay standpoint. A large majority of his attacks have the AOE after-effects that can also be extremely bright and cover most of his attacks. In addition to being covered by lights, sometimes he can start attacks facing away from you, obstructing the telegraph even more, which can lead to getting bodied by attack you couldnt see even if you tried. And in my opinion, the quick triple slash is still the worst thing about him. It wasnt a huge problem here since I can guard with my left hand and take a lot less damage, but its still damage. It would be nice if there was a dodge method I could count on every time, rather than expecting to take massive damage every time he uses that attack. As it stands now, its a near frame perfect timing that requires the right positioning before he even begins the attack, so sometimes theres quite literally nothing I can do. Anyway, still love the music, and Im glad I got to replay this fight and enjoy it this time, even if it lasted a hell of a lot shorter than I expected.
