Tim Young was named Mastering Engineer Of The Year at last night's Music Producers Guild Awards. The first mastering engineer outside of America to win a Grammy (in 2008 The Beatles 'Love' Album won Best Surround Sound Album), Tim is one of the best known mastering engineers in Europe.
His credits over the years have included The Clash, The Smiths and both the original and remastered recordings by Culture Club. Recent projects include Massive Attack's 'Heligoland', 'Falling Down a Mountain' by Tindersticks, Joan Armatrading's 'This Charming Life' and 'Nightwork' by Scissor Sisters.
