This edition of Live to Tape follows Liverpool artist AKA from a live performance at Rough Trade East, London, through to the final analogue tape mix at Metropolis Studios.
Recorded entirely through an analogue workflow and featuring some of Metropolis Studios' world-class outboard equipment, the session offers a behind-the-scenes look at the craft, precision and character of recording and mixing to tape.
Captured as part of our Record Store Day collaboration with Jack Daniels, AKA delivered a high-energy performance to a packed audience before the recordings were brought to Metropolis Studios for mixing and mastering.
