Clear tig cups can really help if you are having trouble seeing where you are going.
I dont use them all the time and I only started using clear tig cups to film tig welding videos because they help everyone see everything so much better.
I learned quick that they also help me see better.
when I switch back to a pink cup, its like someone dimmed the lights.
Pink ceramic cups are definitely more durable but clear cups light up the joint like a light bulb.

If you think about it, the glowing tungsten inside the clear cup is just like the tungsten in a light bulb.
