In this video, we review the craftsmanship of a Tiffany style 4 prong platinum ring setting from JamesAllen.com. This ring design is a simple and popular style that has an evergreen appeal.
The total cost of the ring is slightly over $2000 and the setting itself cost $920. Mounted on the basket of the ring is a 0.60 carat K color VS1 clarity super ideal cut diamond.

While the setting may look simple and straightforward to make, not every jeweler is able to craft them to good standards and consistently all the time.

If you watched the video, you can see that the diamond engagement ring is extremely symmetrical from the top down view. The size of the prongs and their placements are just perfect.
As we review the side profile of the ring, the shanks look very uniform and the ring has a nice rounded shape. Also, the polishing and finishing of this platinum ring is done really well and you can see that the smallest details are taken care of.

Having looked and reviewed many different luxury brands, this ring is well made and I can tell you that it is better made than those offered by the big brands. For less than $1000, the ring setting is a steal for such a high level of quality.

Not only does the diamond display mind blowing fire, it also has superb scintillation properties. In other lighting conditions like a cloudy setting or an office fluorescent condition, the ring also stands out because of its really bright looking and symmetrical patterning. CZ is a much cheaper alternative and can be found in costume jewelry at departmental stores.
