I uploaded this song acouple years ago on my BitChute account, to which I purged all of my videos on that account, unfortunately the video is now lost media. Doesn't matter though, the video looked awful anyway.
This is the current anthem of the Philippines, Lupang Hinirang. Back then, the song's lyrics were originally in Spanish and no vintage recording of the Spanish version exists and only this interpretation by Guillermo Gómez-Rivera. Spanish has since been faded out of Filipino society and now the anthem has been replaced by the modern version (in Tagalog).
In my opinion, the Spanish version represents The Philippines' struggle for independence against the Spanish and Americans and also represents the past in which Spanish was once the dominated langua franca of the entire islands. It is the eastern daughter of the western sun.
