Man-oh-man did I love my Sega Genesis. And as a kid, when I wasn't being fanatic over Sonic games, I was playing other games in my Genesis library. One of my favorites being Vectorman.
Tidal Surge is one of my favorite tunes from the game, and though It's rather simple and repetitive, I absolutely love the progression of the piece. It always invoked some really awe-inspiring feeling in me as a kid.. still can't really explain it. It was just simply "cool" sounding, and I love the tune to this day.
This is just a basic arrangement I did for fun, so nothing really intricate going on here. I also do my arranging by ear, so this may not be spot on, but as close as I could get it without using MIDI files and existing sequence data for the tune. And I like it that way- a fun little challenge.
Let me know what you guys think. I may consider doing some more arrangements from some of my other favorite Genesis titles in the future. Suggestions are also welcome, though I won't make any promises.
