Thrusting Shields were my most anticipated new weapon class going into the DLC, and they completely shattered my expectations. With the unique property of having block frames during parts of their attacks, it can be an extremely oppressive set up. The entire moveset (excluding back step attacks) is viable, not to mention it has a built-in shield poke attack (Guard + R1).
