Patch 1.06 "increased the attack speed of Great Axes and reduced the time it takes for rolling to become possible after an attack". I did not get a chance to compare other attacks (charged/heavy, jumping, rolling, crouched, and 1 handed) as I do not have any pre-patch clips to showcase them. After playing on the current patch, I can definitely say that the overall move set feels faster and the recovery time to roll out of an attack improved noticeably.
