H47 is a local train based out of Reading Yard in Pennsylvania, serving various industries on the Norfolk Southern Reading and Harrisburg Lines. In October of 2015, a High-hood GP38-2 and an MP15DC, NS 5046 and 2408, were the assigned power for these trains, making a lot of noise passing the camera.

There are still many High-hood GP38-2's, but they are becoming much less of a sight since many are being rebuilt with low noses for better crew visibility. MP15DC's are a very uncommon find on mainline locals—this combination of locomotives was a real treat, along with the friendly crew.
In the first scene of the video (0:15), H47 is on its usual duties with a train from Reading Yard to the Evansville Industrial Track in Temple, PA. NS 2408 leads the train up the grade at WEST LAUREL.
The remainder of the video displays a rarely seen operation. About once a month or so, loaded coal cars travel from Reading to the stone quarry at Annville, PA, to be used in the furnaces.
1:10 - H47 climbs out of the valley at Wyomissing Junction, with several notches of throttle and sanders applied to get the train rolling from a stop.
2:35 - At the top of the hill in Robesonia, the GP/SW combo still provide enough sound, lugging the loads west along the 50 MPH mainline.
3:50 - Just barely beating the train to the feed mill at Avon, H47 has dynamic braking applied as the train slows down for Lebanon. About 6 miles later the train reaches the destination at the quarry, but there is no public access to this location.
4:50 - Later that afternoon, H47 grabs a couple of cars from 7D in Newmanstown on its way back east to Reading, seen here getting the signal at DORF to cross from Main 2 to 1 around a work site.
