WoD is proud to host these two MEPS as a celebration for 400+ subscribers and for the for the first time, open to the public! Members were torn between two songs for our next MEP so we all voted to hosted both at the same time and allow our fans and friends to edit alongside us in these simultaneous MEPS!

The theme of these two MEPS is Horror. We choose our REP MEPS [sticking to WoDs rules of them being a Capcom/SE Character] and either manipulate them to be in a horror situation [Eg. Masking a character to be in the movie SAW or backgrounds of Silent Hill/Resident Evil, showcasing monsters sneaking up on your character] or using dark colours/horror elements to bring on the spoop just in time for Halloween!

Welcome to the 14th MEP for WoD!
This is the first MEP since the studio started where I allowed complete freedom for my Darkstylers footage wise. We have had 13 MEPS with Gaming Footage and I really wanted to see what what my members can do with LiveAction or Anime.
I think, they are epic no matter what footage they edit!
Feel the passion from each member in their part - every member used their creativity and showed their true style and it really shows what we can do. Impressed? I sure as hell am!
Remember, there is no theme for this MEP, it was a simple project of exploring new footages and keeping the practice of Darkstyle alive.

Welcome to the first Beta Battle Tournament held by Wings of Darkness Studios!
Thanks to everyone who is participating!
This BBT will be hosted in a IC/Dueling style, meaning two editors face off against each other and whomsoever entry was voted most upon by the judges gets into the next round - unlike ICs you are not required to edit same song or segment of a song. You are free to communicate with your dueling partner, although its a competition, we are all friends here :)
I have gotten my housemates to pick your names out of a hat so this is completely random as to who you are dueling.
The results video for Round 1 will be announced as soon as judging stops and Round 2 commences.

☠☞ BBT Specifics
• If everything goes according to plan, the BBT should last anywhere between 3-5 months.
• Each round will be 3-4 weeks.
• In between each round will be 1 week for judging.
• Each round will require you to make a video at minimum 30 seconds long no maximum, excluding the entry round.
• WoD is based around EuroGoth, Rock and Nu Metal music, so any edits of you using EuroGoth, Rock and Nu Metal songs will get your chances higher for passing onto the next round! If you usually edit with that type of music, great! If you dont, itll be a great way to learn a different style of editing!
☠☞ First Round Rules
• Any footage allowed, GMV/AMV/LAV!
• Any music choice allowed.
• Edit has to be minimum of 30seconds - no maximum time.
• The video has to be YOURS of course, not stolen.
• Edit must be Darkstyle - most definitely no pink.
• If you fail to meet deadline, your dueling partner automatically gets through to next round. Unless if you both fail to meet deadline you both are disqualified.

Althoguh we have missed Mental health month and national mental health day that doesnt mean it is any less relevant. Mental health is just as important as physical health but for some reason it has been stigmatized through the years.
Its our turn to help make the world realize mental health is not a disease.
Being on a spectrum is not a handicap. I repeat, NOT A HANDICAP.
This MEP is to bring awareness into what its like to go through something that really does affect your mental wellbeing, like having D.I.D or depression, our characters we choose to edit with represent an aspect of this and we hope that others can help share this around to bring more light to stop stigmatizing mental health as an illness.

Pride isn’t just about parades, parties, and getting pretty in rainbow-inspired outfits (although we are ALL ABOUT those things). It’s about celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and fighting for equality, taking a stand for what’s right, and accepting people exactly as they are.
LGBTQIA+ is an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual, and more. These terms are used to describe a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
We are in trying times. In some places its still illegal for same sex marriages, which is so sadge. Its 2022 and yet we are still in backwards society. Time to bring some awareness and stand against having our rights be illegal!

WoD supports and stands with LGBTQ community, our MEP theme is focused on the oppression many are still experiencing. We expressed this by the colouring, theres no freedom, void of colour at the start, and then it slowly gains colour as the song progresses and the rainbow gets recognized!

Hello Darkstylers! No we are not dead!
Since New year we have been organizing and editing a special MEP! This is a Secret MEP!
For those who are unfamiliar with the term, a secret MEP is where there is no sign up. The host chooses a song and splits up the parts and distributes parts based on the members editing style and then gives it to the members. The members do not know what part of the song they are editing, or in some cases dont know the song they are editing to and dont know who is beside them and the challenge is to create flow just following the rules given by the host.
Only shall the secret be revealed upon upload.
My darkstylers have been editing with me for years, they all know each others styles very well and I feel they created the best flow imaginable!
This song was challenging but all who participated did extremely well and I present to you this amazing MEP!
WoD does apologize for the lateness of this MEP, the deadline was in March but unfortunately your leaders harddrive crashed 5 days before deadline and lost the project! Whoops! But we got it back in the end and so after 4 months I give to you Vessel!
