I up cycled the embroidery piece I got from the thrift store... basically just stitched some aliens on top and threw it on my denim jacket ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ crafty up-cycle, diy, clothes or art I guess?
So back when I was making the weaving loom for a previous video.. I found a framed embroidery piece of like this farm scene. It was pretty rad already..
I had three ideas to embroider on top: A dinosaur meteor shower, a demon summoning party, or an alien invasion.
I put those up on my instagram and twitter. most people liked the aliens and demons so I put it up to a vote. The Aliens won:)
I was personally routing for the demons (all the reds plus the rainbow would have looked cool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) but was down to do any of the three so...
Also my hair is blue.. or now that I'm actually getting this video edited and posted its all faded.
Anyways...
so first thing I did was unstitch the horse cause that guy is going to be taken up in the tractor beam. There was a lil blue outline that Daria used as the template.. tired to get that off with acetone.. didn't work. So I threw a backing on the back and started embroidering all the details on:)
I thought it would be cool to use neon thread and also paint a lil bit of glow in the dark stuff to highlight some of the details... It made it look like a night scene when a black light was on it. sooo guess ill just have to go take this jacket somewhere with a black light ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
ALSO ALSO.. I'm going to try to put a new video out every other Thursday and tease that next video at the end each video:)
