Whaaaaaat up:) So the other weekend I got to paint on the biggest mural in all of Utah... and check out the pop-up museum 'Hall of Breakfast'
okay okay... so its probably the biggest mural in most the surrounding states too.. but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
To me.. the real treat was being able to chill with the artist behind the mural, Chuck Landvatter. He was actually mine and Romney's Art professor... and has by far been my favorite teacher.
He probably is part of the reason I... uh.. dropped out of school??? Which I know sounds a bit ass backwards for teaching but... I remember him telling me that if school is stifling creativity or getting in the way of an opportunity, than it might not be the time for school.
I plan on going back to school eventually but feel like if I don't push the YouTube stuff now I may be missing out on a rad opportunity.
I'm going off a bit on a tangent.. so back to the Vlog...
So Chuck is one of the most inspirational persons I know. I was so pumped when he replied to my text saying I could come check out the wall. I was even more floored when he let Roms and I paint a bit on the wall.
I didn't really help out a ton... we mostly just chit chatted about life and what not (one of my favorite things as his student was to get him to rant off for like 45 min's at the beginning of class)
He is planning to have the mural all finished in a couple weeks and he has some guys filming the whole process.. so once that's done I'll put a link in my instagram or twitter:)
soooooo before we went to the Hall of Breakfast we actually went to the Zoo.
One of my friends Grace works at the zoo so was able to hook us up for a free day at the zoo..
as I was editing I took a lot of film of the animals paws and feets... haha sooooo.. there you go:)
The Hall of Breakfast is a pop up art installation/museum... kind of like the Museum of ice cream that was in California.. (which I never was able to go to:(
Each room had a theme of.. you guessed it... breakfast.
You start out by stepping through a doorway that looks like a fridge... Welcome to the Milk room. The next rooms are just as elaborate as the fridge shaped door: Eggs, bacon, cereal, pancakes & waffles, donuts, coffee, and fruits.
I'm a nerd and my favorite thing was that they had treats in lots of the rooms... yummmmmm
But it was really fun and seemed like a place to basically just take pictures for instagram... and.. I loved it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
funny enough I didn't take very many pictures though... next time.
