One person was killed and another critically injured in a late-night shooting Tuesday in the 2300 block of South Highway 6 in Houston, according to authorities. Deputies responded around 11:48 p.m. to reports of multiple people shot and found one male dead at the scene and another male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds who was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Both victims are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. A third victim, a woman driving home nearby, was struck by shattered glass after a stray bullet pierced her vehicle windows; she was hospitalized in stable condition. Investigators said a group had gathered in a parking lot before heading to a lounge south of the location when someone opened fire, though it remains unclear whether the shots came from a drive-by vehicle or someone within the parking lot.
