The newest model of the Japanese Self Defense Force, Combat Ration Type 1 is a lightweight, stripped down to the basics ration that provides nothing but some of the most delicious and easy to comfort foods, curry, and rice that you can find in a modern ration. Including it's own tray, a heavy-duty spork, and issued separately, a high-octane FRH that not only heats the food perfectly, it cooks the rice. In this review we check out 3 JSDF Combat Ration Type 1's and without any wasted time, 3 meals including a sweet & savory ground pork in sauce, a meatloaf of sorts with onion & tomato sauce, and a delectable pork curry.
