Less than a month left until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is in our hands, yet its final presentation this past November 1st left some...very mixed opinions among fans. With fewer characters revealed than most had hoped, all either being highly controversial or completely predictable, and many heartbreaking _de_confirmations at the very last minute, tensions reached a boiling point and have only simmered down a little in the time since.
Well, at the risk of stoking the flames all over again, I never did elaborate on my own thoughts over the past few months, have I? Here's my take on Ultimate's reveal cycle, final (pre-DLC) batch of newcomers, and thoughts on how things could've maybe been handled better.
