Characteristic Scottish locomotives didn't suddenly disappear when steam was abolished on British Railways. Scotch diesel fan will tell you the diesel loco with perhaps the deepest Scottish connection is the McRat - a name that covers both the TOPS Class 26 and Class 27. Entrusted with Edinburgh expresses and Inverness locals, They are tiny locos with great purpose.

The worst thing that can possibly happen, on any job, is getting more work right before youre supposed to have your break. Poor Engineer just wanted a relaxing break, but an emergency situation means: Duty calls! And swiftly, too!
Why yes, it is animated in 60 FPS :) Originally meant as a one-minute wonder, specifically one which I could make within one day, this ended up taking three days. Lovely. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

Chuggy the little tram engine is finally taken out for work after a long time of standing about in the yard. The narrow gauge locomotive is a hard working sort who doesnt like sitting still for too long. Although this working day might not go the way Chuggy wanted it to go...

When I first saw ex-LNER class A3, 60103 Flying Scotsman, it was by complete coincidence, when she visited Locomotion in 2019. When I next wanted to film her at Carlisle in 2023, she failed right before her special was due. When I wanted to film her on the Strathspey Railway the same year, she had a low-speed collision!
But, caught finally at the Severn Valley Railways Swinging 60s event, I now have had the pleasure of visiting the SVR for the first time, and gathering more footage of the most famous steam locomotive in the world!
