Konami banned Raigeki, then printed a cult around it.
While the real card sat on the Forbidden list, Konami kept printing weaker stand-ins — Lightning Vortex, Raigeki Break, Raigeki Bottle. Flash of the Forbidden Spell is the strange one: its bolts carry the Japanese characters for sealed magic, and its background is a recoloured piece of Spatial Collapse's artwork. Then came Disciple of the Forbidden Spell and Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell — cards that worship a spell they were never allowed to name.
The real one came back at three. Nobody plays it.
